  • Small mixing bowl
  • Large skillet or grill pan
  • Tongs
  • Spoon or brush for sauce
  • Meat Thermometer

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops

  • 4 boneless pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Peach BBQ Sauce

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup peach preserves
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 fresh peach sliced, optional

Instructions

Step 1: Season the pork chops

  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Step 2: Make the sauce

  • In a small bowl, stir together the BBQ sauce, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes if using.

Step 3: Sear the pork chops

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on one side, until nicely browned.

Step 4: Flip and cook

  • Turn the pork chops over and cook for another 3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium so the sauce does not burn.

Step 5: Add the peach BBQ sauce

  • Pour the sauce over the pork chops. Add fresh peach slices if using. Spoon some sauce over the top of each chop.

Step 6: Simmer until cooked through

  • Cover the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the pork reaches 145°F in the thickest part.

Step 7: Rest before serving

  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes. Spoon extra sauce from the pan over the top before serving.
